Transat AG2R Start
At 2 PM local time, the 26 doublehanded teams in this ninth edition of the Transat AG2R set sail for the West Indies in their Figaro Beneteau II’s. Thomas Rouxel and Erwan Israel aboard Defi Mousquetaires got the best start but had a collision with KPMG at the release buoy, doing damage to both boats. Defi Mousquetaires fell to 20th place but within 3 hours had clawed their way back to 8th place.
