Team Russia Announce Four More Crew
Jochen Wolfram (GER), Jeremy Elliott (IRE), Andy Meiklejohn (NZL) and Nick Bubb (UK) have taken their places onboard Kosatka, Team Russia’s VO70 competing in the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09.
This will be 33 year-old Kiwi, Andy Meiklejohn’s third Volvo Ocean Race. He was a rigger on News Corp in the 2001-02 race and bowman on Brasil 1 in 2005-06 edition. Andy will act as bowman again for Team Russia and will train Team Principal Oleg Zherebtsov as second bowman for the Race.

Nab Tower Solo
19 single-handed yachts crossed the start line at Gurnard point on Sunday to contest the first Nab Solo, this is the second race of four in the new Solent Solo Series organised by Racing at Petit Bateau. Conditions were almost perfect, a nice westerly 15 knot breeze and the spring flood tide kept the soloists honest as they ganged up on the JOG line heading east for a spinnaker start in bright sunshine at 10.10.bst.

Qingdao Olympics
Monday saw the medal races for the 470 Men and Women, three races sailed in the Laser Men, Laser Radial Women, Star and Tornado, with two races sailed in the RS:X Men and Women.
Tuesday will see the medal race for the Laser Men and Laser Radial women, a single race (10th and final before the medal race) for the RS:X Men and Women, two races for the Star and Tornado.
Medal races for RS:X Men and Woman on Wednesday, with the final medal races of the Olympcis on Thursday for the Star and Tornado.
