Danish Open
Frederikshavn, Denmark: The first day of the Danish Open, Stage 5 of the World Match Racing Tour 2008 season saw 12 crews from 7 countries take to the waters off the Jutlandic peninsula. With a shifty gusty breeze that blew off the land up to 22 knots the teams were tested to the max.

The morning session saw six teams take to the water to compete against one another which included Ian Williams (GBR), Sebastien Col (FRA), Magnus Holmberg (SWE), Torvar Mirsky (AUS), Mads Ebler (DEN) and Andrew Arbuzov (RUS).

Danish Open
The top sailors of the world will be making their way to Frederikshavn for the 5th event on the World Match Racing Tour 2008 – Danish Open. A very strong line up with more than 50% in the top 10 of the ISAF World Ranking and all in contention for the Match Racing World Championship – it’s going to be a really tough event to win. Royal Danish Yacht Club will be show casing the City of Frederikshavn as its new event venue.

The event begins on August 27th.
