Trophee Clairefontaine de Valencia

Valencia, Spain: Thanks to Luc Dubois and his crew, Pierre-Yves Jorand and Yves Detrey, the national Swiss anthem was played this afternoon in the Marina Real Juan Carlos 1st, the port of the bases of the 2007 America’s Cup, with a superb victory of the Swiss crew as a conclusion to the Trophee Clairefontaine de Valencia. A victory they snatched at the very end of the ninth and ultimate leg of this nineteenth edition of this major rendez-vous of international sailing champions in front of the recent French Olympic Bronze medallist Nicolas Charbonnier. The Frenchman Loick Peyron, seven times winner of this competition organized as a nautical show, complete the podium. The Swiss have fought hard for this victory, with four out of nine legs won.
